Adam Marek

Adam Marek, winner of the 2011 Arts Foundation Short Story Fellowship, is the author of two short story collections: Instruction Manual for Swallowing, and The Stone Thrower - which he will be launching in London at this event.

Chris Paling

Chris Paling has published nine highly-acclaimed novels, the latest of which is Nimrod's Shadow. His short story, Red Car, was longlisted for the inaugural Sunday Times short story prize, and his debut stage play The Final Test toured the UK this summer.

David Vann

David Vann’s bestselling books, including Legend of a Suicide, have won fourteen prizes, and appeared on sixty-five Best Books of the Year lists in a dozen countries. 

Zoe Lambert

Zoe Lambert is a Manchester based writer. Her debut collection, The War Tour, was published by Comma Press in 2011 and was shortlisted for the 2012 Edge Hill Prize for the Short Story.

On Saturday November 24th, we will spend an evening in reading and conversation with the incomparable novelist, playwright and short story writer Hanif Kureishi. Hanif will read his latest story, This Door is Shut, published for the first time that month in Red, an anthology of new writing – short stories, essays and poetry – conceived and edited by Cathy Galvin.
